An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established family business with over 100 years of history in the packaging industry.



The Sales Manager will work with the Company’s sales representatives, management and customers, to define new business opportunities and establish daily procedures


What will you do?

  • Responsibility for managing and developing the external and internal sales team
  • Support sales team, understand and define new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of key customers and targets
  • Plan strategic development of core client base
  • Deliver improved sales and margin performance
  • Develop improved customer relationship management
  • Develop and maintain an in depth knowledge of existing product and packaging trends
  • Work with the full management team to establish a sales budget, strategies and tactical sales plan by product line, customers and market
  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.
  • Lead and schedule weekly and or/monthly team meetings with sales team and management
  • Track sales team metrics and report data to management on a regular basis
  • Embody company culture and maintain high sales employee engagement
  • Train and ensure adherence to sales process
  • Ensure correct usage of CRM and other sales applications
  • Collaborate with IT on sales technology initiatives
  • Recruit and train new sales team members
  • Candidate will be report to the Managing Director


Minimum Requirements:

  • Solid sales leadership and management experience – recruiting, training, high sales results, sales retention, strong relationship builder, great rapport and sales leadership ability
  • 3-5 years in a sales management role; within industry preferred
  • Strong intrapersonal skills
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to travel 50-70% of the time
